Gadgets: Portable massager
Published in Science & Technology News
After a long and tiring day, your legs will benefit from Urevo's new AI-powered wireless Relax Massager. The portable massager is part of the Urevo Wellness Care series of products. It’s designed for a variety of uses, including overall muscle relaxation, stress relief and pain management. It can be taken anywhere.
If you do have any medical condition, contact your doctor. And Urevo states on their site that you should consult a doctor if discomfort occurs.
Without making any official medical claims, after using the Urevo wireless Relax Massager for several days, my unofficial opinion is — wow! These are fabulous. I found myself looking forward to getting my tired legs home just to use them. They're that good.
The massage system features built-in airbags that provide an immersive experience. Each unit features an internal air pump that simulates a massage with adjustable airflow control. It was surprisingly addictive, in a positive way.
After unboxing, put on the left and right legs, which are made with breathable fabric and wrap around the entire leg for a 360-degree snug and comfortable fit. Each leg has a controller box that needs to be placed on the outside of the leg to access the buttons for power, pairing the legs together, and changing modes and heat levels.
The AI technology is said to monitor your muscle tension and discomfort levels, adjusting the intensity and massage mode for personalized, targeted relief. Uses range from an everyday massage to more advanced treatments. There are three modes -- relaxation, recovery or shape -- three heat settings, and three intensity levels, which will cover a gentle soothing massage up to a deep tissue therapy massage.
Settings, modes, adjustments and more can be made using the manual buttons or within the companion AI-Powered Wellness app, which also provides recommendations for post-exercise recovery. The app provides data reports after your massage is completed, detailing the effectiveness of each professional therapy.
The app's algorithm will analyze your legs before the massaging begins. It detects pain points and evaluates pain sensitivity, resulting in recommendations for personalized massage parameters to achieve optimal results.
The 2500mAh rechargeable battery provides up to 150 minutes of continuous operation.

I'd never classify brushing your teeth as fun, but it's a necessity. And with the Laifen Wave electric toothbrush, it's easy and efficient.
The handheld, portable and battery-operated toothbrush features a brushing system that combines vibrations of up to 66,000 times per minute with a 60-degree oscillating motion. It brushes with a dentist-recommended Bass brushing technique according to Laifen.
Personally, my mother was a dental hygienist, so brushing was something that was not skipped in my home. I've used electronic toothbrushes for decades. It doesn't make me an expert, but considering all I've used, I can honestly say that the brushing from the Laifen Wave is as good, if not better, than any other electric toothbrush I've tried.
Laifen's system is described to maintain a consistent brushing force at all times. It cleans your teeth while also protecting your gums. The deep cleaning is performed with bristles that feature a dynamic balancing design and measure 0.02mm at the top, with a 90% tapering rate. The balance is achieved with a metal counterweight on the back of the brush head.
And of course, there is an app, in this case, the Wave app. It saves your preferences and offers three settings and 10 levels. The built-in rechargeable battery will last for up to 30 days of use, assuming an average of two brushings are performed daily, each lasting two minutes. The Wave electric toothbrush features an IPX7 waterproof rating and includes a durable, braided charging cable with a magnetic connection that simply clicks into place for charging.
The Laifen Wave is available in ABS plastic for $79.99, aluminum alloy for $99.99, and a stainless steel for $99.99. The ABS plastic and aluminum alloy models offer a variety of color choices.
As with any other medical accessory, it is always recommended to consult a dentist for advice if you have questions.
